About this policy
This policy explains how STRMIO handles information in connection with the STRMIO.ca website and purchases of STRMIO Lifetime Access. STRMIO does not offer user accounts on its website, and browsing the site does not require you to provide personal information.
Information we process
Depending on how you interact with STRMIO, we may process:
- The email address you enter at checkout
- Payment and order information, such as the amount, date, currency and payment status of your purchase
- Messages you send to our support email and our replies
- Basic technical information needed to operate the website, such as information your browser sends when you load a page and search terms you enter in site search
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Checkout. You enter your payment details on Stripe’s secure checkout page. STRMIO does not receive or store your full payment card number.
Stripe provides STRMIO with order details, such as your checkout email and payment status, so we can confirm and fulfill your purchase. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
How we use your checkout email
We use the email address you provide at checkout to:
- Identify your purchase
- Prepare and deliver your account credentials
- Communicate with you about your order
- Provide support
We do not sell your personal information.
TMDB
STRMIO uses the TMDB API to display movie and television information and artwork for discovery. Requests to TMDB are made by our server, including any search terms you enter in site search, and images are loaded from TMDB’s image servers. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Third-party links
STRMIO links to third-party websites and services, including the official Stremio downloads page and TMDB. When you visit them, their own privacy practices apply, not this policy. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep order and support information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, support your purchase and meet legal, accounting or tax obligations. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle.
Your choices
You can ask us about the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@strmio.ca. You may also have other rights under applicable privacy law.
