How to Watch on iPhone (iOS Guide)
Using STRMIO on iPhone is slightly different — but still very easy.
Since there is no official native app on iOS, you’ll use Stremio Web through Safari, combined with an external video player.
Don’t worry — setup takes less than 2 minutes.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
📱 Step 1 — Open Stremio Web
Open Safari (important — not Chrome)
Go to:
(Safari is required because it supports adding the app to your home screen)
➕ Step 2 — Add to Home Screen
- Tap the Share icon (bottom of Safari)
- Tap “Add to Home Screen”
- Open it like a normal app
👉 This makes Stremio feel like a real app on your iPhone
You will probably notice the “Streaming server is not available” warning:
Simply press “Don’t show again” (as this article is for using Stremio Web without the server attached),
🔐 Step 3 — Log Into Your STRMIO Account
- Open the app you just added
- Log in using your STRMIO email & password
⚙️ Step 4 — Enable External Player
- Go to Settings
- Find “Play in external player”
- Change from Disabled → Outplayer
👉 This is required for videos to play on iOS
▶️ Step 5 — Install Outplayer
Download Outplayer from the App Store.
👉 This will be your video player
👉 STRMIO will automatically open streams in it
🎬 Step 6 — Start Watching
- Search any movie or show
- Click play
- It will open directly in Outplayer
⚠️ NOTES
- iOS works differently than other devices
- Streaming happens through an external player (Outplayer)
- Setup is required only once
